The 23rd of July, 2019 will forever be a memorable day for the students of SMK St Teresa because the school was visited by Sano High School from Japan. The students from Sano High School consisted of girls as well as boys. The students arrived at 8:00 a.m. and had some local food for their breakfast before proceeding to the AVA room. There, students from 5S1 and 5A1 gave a presentation regarding Sarawak and Malaysia. The Japanese students were also introduced to the school’s history. Shortly after, students from 4S1 introduced the traditional costumes of some of the different cultures found in Sarawak. Lastly, the Japanese students watched an exciting cultural performance by the school’s dance club and then tried some steps from the traditional dance. At about 12:00 p.m., the Japanese students left the school with nothing but smiles on their faces.
