On Tuesday, 31 st October 2017, the school’s annual Majlis Kecemerlangan Teresian was held for the first time at the ACCPC, St. Joseph’s Parish, Kuching. Students were rewarded and congratulated for their remarkable achievements in academic and extra-curricular activities during this glorious event.
The students arrived at 7:30 a.m, followed by the arrival of the parents as well as the Principal, Madam Mary John. The guest-of-honour, The Most Reverend Archbishop Simon Poh, arrived around 8:00 a.m. The event began with the usual routine, followed by a speech by Madam Mary John and an officiating speech by The Most Reverend Archbishop Simon Poh. After his speech, the guests were treated to a wonderful solo performance by Angelina Kiran San Juan from 1A2.
The prize-giving ceremony started around 9:30 a.m. Prizes were awarded to students to reward them for their hard work all-year round as well as serving as a sign of appreciation to students who had contributed to the school and helped to bring the good name of the school throughout the state and the country.
The guests were entertained again by the school band’s rendition of two famous pieces, “Thunderer March” and “Pokemon Theme”. The event ended around 11:30 a.m. It proved to be a joyous event as the prize recipients, parents and teachers were seen leaving the event with wide smiles on their happy faces.
